Pacenote — Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your Pacenote account and related personal data in the mobile app, as required by Google Play and for transparency for all users.
1. Request account deletion
- Open the Pacenote app.
- Go to the MY tab at the bottom.
- Tap Settings (gear icon) in the top right.
- Scroll to Delete account and follow the prompts.
- Re-authenticate if asked, select a reason, and confirm deletion.
Note: If you are a Crew leader, you may need to dissolve the crew or transfer leadership before deleting your account.
2. Data that is deleted
When your account is deleted, we delete the following without undue delay:
- Profile information (nickname, photo, bio, etc.)
- Running and training records (GPS routes, distance, pace, heart rate, etc.)
- Training plans and goals
- Race participation and rankings in your region pool
- Crew membership and activity data tied to your account
- Shoe closet data
- Other personal data stored for your account in our systems
3. Data we may retain
We may retain limited information only where required by law or for legitimate security purposes, for example:
- Service logs: retained for up to 6 months where applicable for fraud prevention and legal compliance
- Abuse prevention records: up to 1 year when necessary to prevent repeat abuse
Retained data is deleted when the retention period ends.
